The National Stolen Generations Alliance AGM 2013 that was held at Liverpool was a great success and gave the Alliance a great opportunity to meet and greet local elders and Stolen Generations.
A productive and happy time was had by all and the final proceedings saw the new Executive being voted on the board for up to 2 years. New Executives included John Dommett (new Treasurer) from Connecting Home Victoria and Jim Morrison (Executive Officer) from Western Australia
The Executive Committee stands as Co-chairs Lionel Quartermaine (Aboriginal) Lily Arthur (Non-Aboriginal), Sam Watson (Secretary) John Dommet (Treasurer) Rosie Baird and Jim Morrison (Executive Officers)
Uncle Steve Williams provided the smoking ceremony and Auntie Norma Shelly gave the welcome to country
Delegates came from WA, SA, Qld, NT, NSW Vic and visitors from interstate also came and watched their national organisation in operation
Auntie Val Linow handmade gifts for delegates and the AGM was followed up with The National Coordinator Glenis Grogan, Project Officer Heather Shearer and Co-chair Lily Arthur giving a presentation on the NSGA at the Catholic University at Strathfield, the group invited by NSW Non-Aboriginal Delegate Dr Miriam Stevenson lecturer of Social Work Department.
